The Contracting Authority proposes to engage in a competitive process under the restricted procedure to appoint a suitable Reserved Specialist Contractor to a Contractor and PSCS for the Development and Construction of the Letterkenny Regional Sports Activity Hub (Phase 1) for the Atlantic Technological University. The scope of work under this competition includes the construction of one full-size (145m x 90m) sand-based grass, drained playing pitch with a 5m run-off area. The pitch will include an engineered drainage system consisting of slit drains feeding into pitch drains and from there to collector drains. The works will also include the provision of one set of goals (12m high goalposts, 6.5m wide crossbar and nets), ball-stop netting (12m high x 30m long) to the rear of each goal, perimeter railings, and floodlighting. Construction will also include four no. all-weather 5-a-side soccer artificial grass pitches. These pitches will have an engineered drainage system, a set of soccer goals for each pitch, 4.6m high fencing with a rebound board to the lower 1.2m, and floodlighting. All applications received will be evaluated in line with the criteria and rules outlined in the Suitability Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) and appendix Y. Responses will be scored and ranked, and the top three (3) _ five (5) qualifying Applicants will be invited to tender, subject to that number meeting the minimum requirements. Please note that Atlantic Technological University will be appointing a Main Contractor and PSCS for the Construction of the Letterkenny Regional Sports Activity Hub under a separate competition.
