The Contracting Authority proposes to engage in a competitive process under the restricted procedure to appoint a suitable contractor for the development and construction of a Regional Sports Activity Hub (Phase 1) for Atlantic Technological University (ATU), Letterkenny, Co Donegal. The scope of work includes: one grass/sand GAA competition pitch, four synthetic 5-a-side soccer pitches, a six-lane athletic sprint track, and a pavilion building featuring changing facilities, office/reception, self-serve catering, and flexible community spaces. Additional works include vehicular and pedestrian access improvements, a new junction from the N56, internal roads, footpaths, cycleways, and parking for cars, coaches, and cycles. Ancillary infrastructure such as drainage, ESB substation, fencing, signage, retaining walls, floodlighting, netting, and culverting for watercourse crossings will also be delivered. Enabling works will involve extensive earthworks, including cut and fill. All applications received will be evaluated in line with the criteria and rules outlined in the Suitability Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) and appendix Y. Responses will be scored and ranked, and the top five (5) _ six (6) qualifying Applicants will be invited to tender, subject to that number meeting the minimum requirements. Please note that ATU will be appointing a Sports Ground Specialist (Natural and Artificial Grass with pitch lighting) as a Reserved Specialist to the Contractor and PSCS for the Construction of the Letterkenny Regional Sports Activity Hub for Atlantic Technological University (ATU), Letterkenny, Co.
